About Tim Schoenecker

Tim graduated from UMR in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in engineering management. While at UMR, Tim competed in track & field and was a member of two relay teams that set school records (4x100m and 4x400m). He was the recipient of the 1984 Gale Bullman Award and served as president of M-Club.

After working for McDonnell-Douglas Astronautics, Tim returned to UMR to earn a master's degree in engineering management and served as Dewey Allgood's volunteer assistant track coach for one season. He then attended Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management where he earned a Ph.D. in strategic management. He has served on the faculty of the School of Business at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville for the past 22 years, with six of those years in the positions of associate dean and interim dean. Tim has been married to his wife, Laura, for 21 years and has two daughters, Kristin and Rachel. He has served as an administrative official for the Edwardsville YMCA Breakers swim club and is currently the president of the Edwardsville High School Track and Cross Country Booster Club. Tim has been a consistent financial supporter of the alumni association, the engineering management department, and the athletic department for the past 30 years.
