About Rick Lux

Rick graduated from UMR in 1981 with a bachelor’s of science degree in chemical engineering and received an MBA from Washington University's Olin School of Business in 1990.  While at UMR, he was a four-year letterman in track and named as the team’s most valuable player in his sophomore, junior and senior years.  Rick still holds three school records: indoor 600-yards, outdoor 400-meters, and outdoor 800-meters.  The indoor 600-yard record was the third fastest Division II time in the nation in 1981. Rick was inducted into the Miner Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.  He has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and product development in the oil/gas, bio-renewable, medical and chemical industries.  He has authored or co-authored two patents - one in the bio-renewable industry and the other in the medical industry.  Rick is currently Sales Manager at Holtec Gas Systems in Chesterfield, Mo.  Rick lives in St. Louis with his wife Nancy and sons Phillip and Mitchell.  One just started college and the other is a junior in high school.  Rick started a track team at his son’s grade school and he continues to coach the team to this day.  He is a current member and retired board member of the St. Louis Track Club where he served as race director for the I-64/Highway 40 Runs in conjunction with MoDOT as well as their race director for the track serie
