About Perrin R. Roller

Perrin graduated from UMR in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering and received a professional degree from UMR in 1997.  While at Rolla, he was an outstanding member of both the football team and wrestling team and a four-year letterman in each.  Perrin has been a driving force in the energy business.  He is currently a principal with Upstream Forensics, LLC and has been vice president of corporate drilling for Devon Energy Corporation as well as positions with other major energy producers.  Perrin is past president of the Miner Alumni Association, is on the executive committee of the Mines and Metallurgy Academy, served on the S&T Board of Trustees and serves as an advisor to the Geological and Petroleum Engineering Department on campus.   He is registered professional engineer and is also a member of the OGS. Perrin and his wife, Brenda, live in Spring, Texas.  Their two daughters both swim on a nationally-ranked swim team in The Woodlands, Texas.  Perrin has switched his favorite sport to ice hockey and plays on three different teams when he’s not at swim meets.  He is serving on the AMA as a member of the Nominations Committee and attended the formation meeting in April of this year.
