About Neil A. Fiala

Neil is a 1956 graduate of the Missouri School of Mines & Metallurgy, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering.  He was a member of Tau Beta Phi, Pi Tau Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Scholastic Societies, as well as being a member of the varsity basketball team from 1954-1955. 

Neil served as a member of “M” Club, Engineers Club, SAE, ASME, Newman Club & Jackling Jocks, as well as a member of OGS, Century Club and Newman Club Supporter. 

He was a professional engineer 40 years with Union Electric (Ameren), advancing to the executive staff level.  He was inducted into St. Louis Amateur and Southwest Kiwanis Baseball Halls of Fame and served as president of the United States Pilots Association, Missouri Pilots Association and St. Louis Genealogy Society, as well as St. Louis Zoo.  He has been married for 60 years on October 22, 2015 with six children, 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
