About James M. Murphy

Jim graduated from MSM in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.  While at the university, Jim competed in football and track, serving as co-captain of the 1955 football team and was a first-team All-MIAA selection that season. While in school, Jim also served as St. Patrick in 1954 as well as president of “M” Club and many other organizations.  Jim went to work for AMF upon graduation and in 1964 started his career in the real estate business in Connecticut.  He is currently president of Murphy & Murphy Realtors as well as Moorings Apartments, Inc., and a number of other companies in Stamford.  Jim has served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Boy Scouts of America local troop and other local organizations.  Jim was recently honored by the Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association.  He has also supported the Missouri S&T campus on a number of other activities.  Jim lives in Stamford, Conn.
