About Dr. Curt Elmore

Curt rounds out our first husband-wife AMA membership.  Curt graduated from UMR in 1986 in geological engineering before starting work at Woodward-Clyde Consultants (now URS Corp.).  He completed master’s and PhD degrees in civil engineering from the University of Arizona.  Curt was a seven-time letterman in UMR cross country and track.  He is currently an associate professor of geological engineering at S&T, a registered professional engineer in multiple states and a member of the Environmental and Water Resources Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers.   Curt has received numerous awards including the University of Missouri C. Brice Ratchford Memorial Fellowship, the S&T Faculty Excellence Award, Faculty Service and Service Learning awards, and the M Club Award for Outstanding Varsity Athlete Alumni Achievement.   He is a member of the Academy of Mines and Metallurgy and OGS, and served as the S&T M Club faculty advisor from 2005 to 2010.  Curt is serving on the AMA Strategic Planning Committee and attended the formation meeting in April.
