Arthur graduated from UMR with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1972, then went on to receive his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine in 1997 and completed his residency at the University of Illinois in 2000. Arthur was a three-year letterman in baseball while attending UMR from 1970-72, leading the team in batting and earning All-MIAA honors in 1971. Over a span of 21 years, Arthur’s professional career in engineering saw him with DuPont, Monsanto and Exxon as a process engineer and marketing manager. In 1993, Arthur moved to a second career in medicine and has been a practicing physician since 1999. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Medical Association. Arthur lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife, Linda, and have have three grown children and three grandchildren.
