Tom Benassi
Tom Benassi earned a bachelor's degree in engineering management from Missouri S&T in 2000. As a student-athlete, he was a four-year letterman on the football team, serving as team co-captain in 1999, and he also competed in track and field. In 1998, he earned all-conference honorable mention as a defensive back and was named to the academic all-district team. Off the field, Benassi was active in campus life, serving as president of both the M Club and the institute of Industrial Engineers, as well as on the Student Council Advisory Board.
Over the past 25 years, Benassi has established a successful career in industrial and commercial construction, specializing in project development, design-build delivery, operations, and business development. His work includes project in data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, power, and water infrastructure. Today, he serves as senior vice president of client solutions at Cerris Systems, supporting eleven offices and project nationwide. He also contributes to his profession through his involvement with ASHRAE, where he has held leadership positions, including president of the Kansas City chapter.
