Terry graduated from UMR with a bachelor’s degree in engineering management in 1977 and later received a professional degree from UMR in 1998. While at UMR, Terry was a standout basketball player, lettering in all four years in the sport. He currently is president of Fisher Controls International, a subsidiary of Emerson Process Management in Marshalltown, Iowa and president of Instrument & Valve Services division. He started with Fisher Controls in 1977 upon graduation, working his way up the ladder from sales engineer. Terry is past chair of the Valve Manufacturer’s Association and is active in the Construction Industry Institute. He has also been very active in the community, serving as chair of the Marshalltown Education Partnership, the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of directors of the Martha Ellen Tye Foundation. This year, Terry was honored by receiving the Unsung Hero Award from the Marshalltown Rotary Club. Terry is serving on the AMA Strategic Planning Committee and attended the April 15th formation committee meeting in Rolla this year. Terry lives in Marshalltown, Iowa with his wife, Rhonda.
