Mike Kissing
Mike graduated from UMR in 1969 with a bachelor’s of science degree in metallurgical engineering and while attending the university, was a three-year member of the track & field program, where he threw the shot put and discus.
Upon graduation, Mike worked as a metallurgical engineer with Caterpillar until 1971, then worked for GM Foundry. He left that position to become the market director for the Carondolet Corp. from 1977 until 1985, then joined KEMS Inc., as a consultant and metallurgical representative, where he worked until 2007.
While at UMR, Mike was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma and held roles as vice president, house manager and alumni president and was also the president of the UMR chapter of Theta Tau. He currently lives in Ballwin, Mo.
