About Michael Moore

Michael Moore of Springfield, Missouri, earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1971 and a master’s degree in engineering management in 1994, both from Missouri S&T. Moore was a member of the football team 1967-70 and was a starting member of the Golden Horde defense at nose tackle and middle linebacker. A three-year letter winner, he was selected to the MIAA All-Conference second team and is a member of the 1969 football team inducted into the Miner Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. A registered professional engineer, Moore retired in 2010 after a 39-year career with St. Joe Minerals Corp., Finley Engineering Co. and city utilities of Springfield.
