About Mark Givens

Mark Givens earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering management from Missouri S&T in 1988. He also holds a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in health care administration from the University of Tampa.  As a dual-sport student-athlete, Givens competed in basketball and track under legendary coaches Billy Key, Dale Martin, and Dewey Allgood.  Givens launched his career in 1991 with Johnson & Johnson, working in medical devices. After relocating to New Jersey in 1995, he transitioned to pharmaceutical sales and retired after three decades with the company. Givens served for 30 years in the United States Air Force as a Medical Service Corps Officer, both on active duty and in the reserves, retiring as a decorated Colonel. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2002, Europe in 2003, and served in Korea from 2012 to 2016.
