About Leonard Stout

Leonard is originally from Sterling, Kan.  While attending UMR/MST, he received varsity letters in all four years for both football and track & field – and was elected Captain of each sport in his fourth year -- was elected President of M-Club service fraternity and in 1993 elected to the MSM-UMR All-Century football team.  He was a first-team All-MIAA selection in football in 1969, won the MIAA championships in the javelin throw in 1968 and 1969 and held the UMR school and/or stadium records in that event from 1967 to 2007.  Leonard earned a bachelor’s of science degree in 1970 in engineering management and has been inducted twice into the Miner Athletic Hall of Fame, first in 2009 as a member of the 1969 football team and a year later on an individual basis. He is from Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco, Calif.
