ME'72, 2016 Inductee
Don graduated from UMR with a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering in 1972. While at UMR, he lettered four years in baseball and served one year as the team captain. He was in M-Club and Sigma Tau Gama fraternity. He worked primarily in the consulting industry designing material handling systems for the brewery, soft drink, and food processing industries. He retired from Phoenix Process Engineering as a consulting engineer to the cement industry. He also taught three engineering courses at Saint Charles Community College.
Don and his wife, Gail, who also received a bachelor’s degree from UMR in chemical engineering in 1972, have two sons who are also Missouri Miners. Don serves in his church in various capacities. He enjoys gardening, cooking, and playing pinochle. Don and Gail have been members of OGS since 2002.
