2020 Inductee
Dan Bailey earned a bachelor of science degree in geological engineering in 2003 and a master of science degree in engineering management in 2005. Dan participated in cross country and led the Silver Bullets intramural team to an overall championship. After graduation, Dan continued to run, coordinate alumni running events and qualified for the Boston Marathon.
Dan and his wife Wendy (Moore), ArchE’07, MS CE’08, a fellow cross country and track and field student-athlete, live in Fairway, Kansas, with their two daughters. Dan is a vice president of the Miner Alumni Association board of directors, was vice president of the Kansas City Corporate Challenge and is on the local city council. He is a vice president at Cogent Inc., a pump and process distributor.
