About Tim Swinfard

Tim graduated from UMR in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  In 1992 he received a master of science in guidance and counseling from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University).  While at UMR, he lettered in cross country and track and field.  He earned all-conference honors in both cross country and track and field and qualified for the NCAA Division II national championship in the 10,000 meters.  He still holds Missouri S&T track and field school records for the 3,000 meter, 5,000 meter, and 10,000 meter runs.  Tim is currently the chief executive officer of the Missouri Coalition of Community Mental Health Centers (Coalition), representing 31 not-for-profit organizations with more than 8,000 employees that provide services to over 200,000 Missourians. He gained valuable experience at Burrell Behavioral Health, where he served from 1991-2005. Swinfard was Burrell’s vice president of operations for the six years prior to joining the Coalition.  He is a licensed professional counselor in Missouri.   Tim currently serves on the board of directors of the Missouri Foundation for Health and the board of directors of the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare.  Tim is married to Kim Connor and they live in Jefferson City with their two daughters, Samantha and Camryn.  He has continued to support Miner Athletics as a contributor to the Friends of Cross Country Endowment and Dewey Allgood Athletic fund.
