About Morris E. Hervey, Jr.

Morris graduated from UMR with a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering in 1981. While at Rolla he was co-captain of the 1980 undefeated football team and played linebacker.  The 1980 Miners had one of the greatest seasons in school and conference history, as they became just the second team ever at MSM/UMR to finish with an undefeated season. In their 10-0 campaign, the Miners had one of the top defensive teams in the nation with the top-ranked rushing defense in NCAA Division II as they allowed only 34.6 yards per game.  The team, which allowed only 123 points during the season, was ranked 10th in the final national rankings and for a span of 18 years was the last MIAA team to complete a season with a perfect record.  Morris was selected as an All-Conference linebacker for three consecutive years and as an Honorable Mention All-American his senior year.  Morris and his wife, Denise, founded TSI Engineering, Inc. in 1989 where he serves as President; the firm has locations in St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo.  Morris is a member of numerous professional organizations and is heavily involved in a variety of community and civic organizations.  His firm has received numerous awards and recognition for professional service and community service.  Morris and Denise live in both St. Louis and Kansas City. Their two daughters, Jeri and Kai, live in St. Louis.
