About Mike Noble

Mike graduated from UMR with a Bachelors of Science in physics and a minor in mathematics in 1991 and obtained a Masters of business administration from the University of Florida in 2001.  While at UMR, Mike was a four-year starter on the football team, served as captain for two seasons and also participated in track during his freshmen year.  On the football team, Mike played strong safety his first three years before moving into a linebacker position for his senior campaign.  As a track athlete, Mike ran the 200-, 400- and 800-meter events.  In addition to his athletic and academic achievements at UMR, Mike was also an Air Force ROTC cadet.  He served as cadet commander and was one of a select few to earn a regular commission as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation (typically only given to Air Force Academy graduates).  After graduation, Mike served in the Air Force as an aircraft maintenance officer for 6 years.  While in the Air Force, he deployed to southern Europe with his aircraft unit which helped provide air support for Operation Deny Flight in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and he was recognized with a Federal Manager of the Year award while working at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.  For the past 14 years, Mike has worked for General Mills, Inc. in various roles supporting food manufacturing operations across the United States.  He is currently the plant manager for a yogurt facility in Carson, Calif.  Since graduation, Mike has been a reliable contributor to UMR and its athletic programs.  Mike has served as a board member for the Junior Achievement organization and is currently a board member on the Carson Chamber of Commerce.
