About Jennifer Jansen

Jennifer graduated from S&T (then UMR) in 1991 with a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering.  In 1997, she earned an MBA degree from Illinois State University.  She has 14 years of professional experience in providing financial analysis for capital investments, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.  Currently, she works part time as a parish accountant.

She has been married for 17 years to Greg Jansen, and they have three children; Luke (15yrs.), Allison (12yrs.) and Kayla (10 yrs.) and they live in Chesterfield, Mo.  Jennifer enjoys watching her kids play sports, home improvement projects and outdoor activities.  She is active in her community as a volunteer coach for her daughters’ basketball and volleyball teams and volunteers at school events.

While at UMR, Jennifer played four years of varsity basketball and two years of softball.  She was inducted into the Miner Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 and also in 2004 with the 1986-87 women’s basketball team.  She finished her playing career as the school’s all-time leading scorer and was second in rebounds.  She earned GTE Academic All-America second-team, Kodak All-America All-District, and first-team All-MIAA honors following her senior year when she led the Lady Miners in scoring with an average of 17.1 points per game.
